This winter brought us some really strange weather… from summerlike sunshine in California to freezing temperatures in New York. But, after the snow and rainstorms are gone, it’s time for spring to settle in. And we have this spring’s hottest boot and shoe trends to help kick off the new season.
Boot and Shoe Trends That Are Hot and Popping This Spring
You won’t be disappointed by the footwear styles and trends set to kick off spring 2018 with a bang. They come with magnificent colors, illuminating spirits and that special touch of character any fashion queen would love. These spring shoe and boot trends will help you looking stylish and amazing all at the same time.
Many of us of had more than enough of the Millennial Pink trend. Now, it’s time to leap into the world of Millennial Lavender. The runways have been flooded with purplish and lilac shares in various styles ranging to sandals to slides, from stilettos to pumps. Purple are also one of the hottest color trends in the ready-to-wear arena.
Socks and Sandals
This is an age-old debate that will probably never die. Is it fashionably appropriate to wear socks with your sandals? Well, according to top designers and fashionistas, it’s quite trendy to pair sandals with socks. Some of the sock-and-sandal combos we saw last year were quite stylish, thanks to the girly qualities and designs of the socks themselves. For a money-saving tip, try pairing an affordable pair of sandals with a lavish, decorative pair of socks.
Cowboys and Westerns
When it comes to boots, spring-inspired fashions are much more colorful and fun than winter boot wear. And, this spring, Western-inspired and cowboy boots are back with flare. This spring, you’ll find boosts in various Western styles, ranging from modern to traditions. Not too into the line dancing look? Then, check out boots from brands like Dorateymur and Tibi.
Sporty Spice Footwear
If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, then why not incorporate your everyday wardrobe with fashionable streetwear? This boot and shoe trend swamped runways with sporty looking details on the soles, straps, laces and more. In other words, the designers have taken normal day-to-day footwear and transformed them into Sporty Spice.
It seems as though the naked shoe isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. You’ll find more traditional styles from designers like Oscar de la Renta and Alexander Wang, who’ve taking the see-through shoe trend to new heights. There will be various heel shapes, colorways and strap techniques to choose from this spring, so you can jump on the naked shoe bandwagon too!
Paris Fashion Week kicked into high gear with this spring’s biggest boot and shoe trends. One of the coolest boot styles featured on the Chloé runway was the almighty combat boots. Just about every model had on a pair. But, you can take your combat boots up a notch by selecting a pair with a pointed toe, like those from designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi. They are dramatic, stylish and trendy. Check out the entire Chloé spring collection for 2018.
Just like with any new boot and shoe trend, the first to debut the season’s hot items are runway models. And, Kaia Jordan Gerber is no exception. As the daughter of international model Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber truly knows fashion.
She was captured on camera at a Hong Kong event wearing the same boots she wore on the walked down the Chanel S/S 18 runway. That would be the awesome, yet controversial, PVC boots.
Kaia Gerber successfully transformed this tricky little boot into an everyday footwear. She stepped onto the scene wearing clear plastic boots with elegant lace that contrasted with her sequin dress. This eye-catching ensemble was paired with minimal jewelry, for a fashionable look all her own.
