Is It Too Early To Start Preparing Your Jewelry Collection For Winter?

Even though winter isn’t fully upon us yet, it’s getting colder and colder every day, and it’s important to think ahead to get the best looks for winter beforehand. You don’t start shopping for a parka when the first snowflake hits, so why would you wait to start getting your winter jewelry in order? Here are a few tips to help you get started:

If in doubt, wear pearls that are a bit smaller

The idea of wearing big and bold pearls is great, but winter is not the best time to do it. Wearing big pearls is a nice thought, but when you’re bundled up all day, the last thing that you want to do is have big, beautiful pearl earrings pressing up against your earmuffs, or a big pearl necklace getting tangled in your scarf. Instead, choose a smaller set of pearls that will look great (choose higher quality pearls here) while remaining unobtrusive.

Choose a single piece to highlight your outfit

Even though you spend most of your time bundled up, you’ll still need something to wear when that big winter event comes along, and you’ll want to be able to make a statement with it. To make things easy on yourself, a good choice is to keep everything minimal and choose a single statement accessory that will really steal the show. A great example of this would be wearing a slightly larger (10-12mm) pearl necklace and smaller pearl studs, but foregoing a ring or bracelet.

When you wear pearls during the winter, you want the best combination of small size and minimal upkeep as possible. You don’t want your hands to be cold because you picked the coldest day of the year to wear your new 13mm pearl ring! Take a look at our store and you should be able to find plenty of options to keep you looking good throughout the winter months.
