The strand is gorgeous, the pearls are evenly round and lustrous, the length (18in) is perfect. The only bit that I am sort of disappointed with and why I gave a 4-star rating vs the 5-star rating is that I actually dared expect a true black color of pearls, with maybe subtle grey or some other overtone. The actual necklace was dark grey, not black and it was clearly stated so in my GLA assessment: color-dark grey. (not black!!) Therefore, to offer a selection of pearl colors such as black, silver, etc...I guess, especially black, was a little deceiving, if you are not actually going to get true black pearls. My Michelle earrings, which I also ordered with Black Tahitian pearls, were slightly a darker color than the necklace, but overall it is a nice match. Fortunately, I love the pearl strand and will def. keep it as the pearls are breath-taking, but I was a little disappointed about the actual color...
