Easter 2018 is quickly approaching. Christians all over the world are ready to mark this important day on their calendars. A joyful mood is already in the air to welcome this big day. The most exciting part is choosing what to wear this Easter for a memorable look for both women and men.
Worried about what to wear this Easter?
Well, we got you covered. You must look fabulous to celebrate the death and the resurrection of the Messiah in style.
Planning what to wear this Easter is a hard task for a majority of us. Everyone wants to look good when it comes to dressing for such a fashionable Spring holiday. This is always a challenge, especially for the ladies. Softer colors, light but simple shoes, and timeless accessories are what Easter fashion is all about.
Women: Dressing for Easter Activities
Before you go shopping on the outfits, you have to understand the different activities on Easter. There is the Easter Sunday church service, family brunch and the kids’ Easter egg hunt. Have in mind where all these activities will take place so that you may have the right attire according to the location of the events.
On Easter Sunday, most churches opt for the formal attire for men, women and children. If you are not so sure what to wear this Easter, you can call the church office and inquire for more details about the dressing. Do not overdo your dressing if your church is a bit informal.
Your style of dressing should be modest. The purpose of Easter Sunday service is to worship God and gives thanks for Jesus. A little respect in what you wear that day is important. If you are not sure if the dress or skirt you are wearing is too short, then it probably is too short.
Women may have a variety of dresses to wear. Solid color dresses added with fresh whites to bring out the color of the dress is appropriate. And to finish off this daytime lovely look, do not shy away from adding pearls to this dress code. A solid navy dress paired with brighter accessories such as a colorful statement necklace would really make you stand out.
You can wear a floral or patterned dress. To avoid competition between the dress and the accessories, keep the accessories pretty simple. Jewelry wise, simple pearl earrings are all you need and maybe a simple clutch. Most women will term their dressing as incomplete without an Easter hat and white lady-like gloves.
Toning It Down
The Easter brunch dressing always depends on the setting of the event. You can wear what you wore while at church service. If you had high heels, then a slight change to comfortable flats may be best. The setting might be more casual. This would mean you tone down your outfit just a little but still keep the feminine details in place.
Pearls & Other Accessories for Easter Sunday
Easter accessories should definitely complement the celebration. There are still the traditional accessories. But try out the more modern accessories which create looks that define your style. It might be a hat, scarves, handbags or gemstones, such as pearl jewelry.
Pearls would definitely make you look classy. All you have to do is match the correct color of pearls to whatever you wear that day. They add the elegance to your outfit. A structured clutch will make your outfit extra sophisticated. Do not overdo the accessories or else you will spoil the stylish look.
It is not a must for you to be a designer to know that shoes must be coordinated with the style and the colors of your outfit. For greater versatility, you can go for shoes that are of nude shade and can later be worn with other outfits.
As the weather is getting warmer and our sleeves are getting shorter, you can use this as an opportunity to show off a new watch. There are plenty of nice and subtle designs that can complement your outfit nicely. Don’t be afraid to opt for a smarter alternative as well – many of the best women smartwatches go together beautifully with dresses.
Motifs & Prints
Easter motifs are a no-go zone for adults. When you are choosing your accessories, both men, and women, Easter prints must be avoided. However, they are best suited for children.
It is not a must for you to shop new Easter holiday outfits. You can have that old dress, suit or any other clothing with you. All you need is to best accessorize your outfit to meet the required wear for Easter.
You will only realize you looked glamorous when you hold Easter memories by taking photos with family and friends. Someone may fall in love with your style and decide to wear it come next Easter.
Men: What to Wear This Easter
Men are advised not to wear shorts or open shirts to Easter Sunday services. Instead, they can go for an official look. Suits with ties are the most appropriate, when deciding what to wear this Easter. Jeans and denim should also be avoided. They are too informal for an Easter church service.
Men can opt for business casual outfits when attending the Easter family brunch. A lightweight sweater should be considered in this case with khaki pants or dress pants.
These days, a button-down shirt and a sports coat are what a man can dress for both the family brunch and the Sunday service. The sports coat can later be taken off when going for the afternoon Easter egg hunt.
Easter Accessories for Men
Men may go for matching belt and shoes. Let’s say a brown belt and brown pair of loafers. This will actually give you a coordinated look and that is how it should be this Easter.
Consider adding color to the suit by putting on a tie with a matching handkerchief. And by all means. don’t forget to put on some men’s jewelry to complete your look.
